I'm at war with baby's tears. It takes over the yard.

The chickweed is also really bad. I don't think we get baby's tears.

What's baby's tears?

We've had so much frost, nothing is growing yet.

Breezy, if you google baby's tears, you'll see a picture. It's a mossy green ground cover, with tiny leaves.

However, it spreads and never dies. It jumps all over the place. Even if it's in the flower beds, it'll jump into the grass and near the sprinklers. I've given up on pulling it out. We spray it to kill it and it still comes back and infiltrates the lawn.

Ah, dandelions. We get them but they are not too aggressive here. I think they like more sun and less acid soil. Creeping Charlie is the bane of our lawn.

Sounds like that kudzu stuff, Puffy. I saw that in full bloom in the south. It even grows over cards and houses.

The dandelions are starting to increase this week around here. And ants. Oh, how I hate the ants.

Did I mention crab grass? And yes, Kim...the ants have appeared here too. ACK!

And don't get me started on how the deer have completely stripped the leaves off the plum tree I planted a few weeks ago. I have no clue if it will survive, but I guess I'll find out soon.

Thanks for the reminder to go spray my new trees.

Our grass was looking really bad a few weeks ago, but it's much better now.

I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but we have a dwarf Japanese Maple that had some real problems last year. It's like half of it died. Completely bare and bone dry, but then other parts of it were fine.

I broke off every single dry branch. Then we had that winter of never ending snow, which certainly wet the ground, and now my tree is good as new.

I need flowers, but I don't have the energy for planting them.
