And further more...

Just booked my flights to/from Georgia for Christmas. Also booked the cats for boarding at a kennel during the same time. I haven't told them yet, but boy are they gonna be pissed when they find out. Try to keep it on the down low so they don't find out, okay? Living with pissed off cats sucks.

Probably not going to put up a Christmas tree this year, but I will decorate the outside of the house. I think having a tree will be just too sad with Dad gone. Next year I'm sure I'll do the whole house decorating thing, but this year I just need to be a party pooper and be sad about Dad. Besides, going to my brother's house for Christmas kind of gets me out of having to put one up.

Ordered custom blinds for the bedrooms, kitchen and the master bath. It's my first foray into blinds instead of curtains (the cheapo blinds that come in apartments don't count). Can't wait for them to be installed.

I've decided to replace my PC with an iMac. If I hadn't ordered the blinds I'd be at the Apple Store in Towson this weekend, but once I squirrel away the cash I will be going MAC. In addition I will be replacing my iPod with an iTouch *waves to breezy*. YAY!

I am praying the weather holds up this weekend as I have a ton of bulbs to plant. The last three weekends have been rainy and I couldn't get out to plant. I think this will be my last chance so cross your fingers I get at least one good day to dig, plant and mulch.

Still hanging in with FastForward, um, er, FLASHForward. *grin* *waves to swami and kim* I'm not real happy with the introduction of Charlie from Lost (can't remember his name). Didn't care for him on Lost, pretty sure I'll hate him here, too. I hate to admit it but he looks like a troll or elf or something like that and I just can't get past it. Yes, I'm shallow.

New favorite CD -- Leave This Town by Daughtry. LOVE.IT.

The new Sue Grafton comes out in December. Can't wait. It'll be "U is for Undertow". YAY! I'm hoping when she completes the alphabet she won't retire. Maybe she'll start a new series with numbers. Or maybe the greek alphabet. Kinsey Millhone rules!

I cannot believe we are at the end of October. Unreal. Where did the year go?

On the bright side, we are that much closer to the return of Lost in 2010! YAY!

*smooch*

Georgia, eh?

I like Dominic Monaghan. I'm digging FlashForward.

Daughtry's album sounds like... well, I love him so I'll just say I love it too.

A few days before I leave on a trip, I tell my cat about my plans, who will be watching her and when I'll be back. I repeat this every day until I leave.

The new blinds will refresh all your rooms and give them a nice, clean look. Well, not that your'e not clean. Ok, I'll shut up.

Do your kitties wreak vengance or do they just sulk?

This was going to be my year to downsize for Christmas, but now with a bunch of family coming it will be a last blast instead!

Oh, you will totally love your blinds! They are such a neat, sleek & sexy look.

Did you get your planting done?

I dislike Dominic Monaghan and hope FF doesn't try to turn him into some evil mastermind. He's just a brainless hobbit. I stopped watching LOST after season 2. I couldn't take all that yelling of "WAAAAALLLLT!" one more time. I hope Walt was eaten by time-travelling polar bears.

*hugs* I agree that sometimes you just have to wallow in some sadness for awhile. It's part of the healing.

We've started putting in some fake wood blinds. We found some composite ones that look nice for our high-moisture areas. Not sure if we'll go real wood or continue with the nice looking faux ones for the rest of the house when we get to that point.

I agree that Dominic M. is funny looking (his teeth and voice bother me a bit), but I think he's a good actor. I love the "darkness" of this show.

*gives the kitties treats* Remember, they pretend they've undergone more stress than they really do. They are masters of the dramatic guilt trip.

A hobbit! That's it!

Oooo, I really want an iTouch.

Still waiting on the blinds to come in. I'm very excited!

The cats are more sulky, but I fear when they come back from the boarding they will be full of vengenance. Or...they'll be so happy I came to get them they will behave themselves. Or not.

And yes, cats do have a sense of drama...kind of like teenage girls.

One more thing...I'm surprised to admit I felt bad when the Poker Girls got eliminated on AR sunday night. I was very impressed that they kept on trying and never blamed each other for their troubles. Kudos to the Poker girls for making me like them.
