A few pictures
This summer was not one of my better ones for gardening. It has been hot, dry, and deer infested. I'll head to Home Depot today to get the fall plants -- mums, asters, sedums, etc. Before I start making changes I took a few pictures of what has survived. Thank the gardening Gods for hardy plants like petunias, vincas, stock, etc. If it weren't for them I'd have nothing to show.
Purple and white petunias, red stock, lavender:
Purple Angelonia and red stock:
This is a mixture of three different containers by the front door. White geraniums, hot pink petunias, pink and yellow lantana, and cute little blue flowers (cannot remember the name): Orange and yellow lantana:
Hostas eaten by the hungry deer. Notice they didn't touch the liriope right next to them. Guess the hostas must be extra tasty.
Impatiens -- these are in a fairly shady part of the yard. They cannot take constant summer sun without tons of water. Wilted impatiens are a sorry sad sight.

Beee-you-tee-fulll!
We bought some hostas this year and the rabbits pulled them right down and destrpoyed them. Not even some leafs left.
As much as I love summer I still like fall's flowers too. Mums are one of my favorites. Ours are out now but I want more!
Our impatients got too much shade and water I think. They did not grow very big but they flowered.
I love your flower pictures. I think you should grow a pumpkin though.
Very purty as usual, Augie. *smooch*
I always look forward to your flower pictures, too. If it's not the freezing temps, then it's the record-setting heat that's killing our flowers.
Maybe if you did what's in this video, the deer wouldn't eat your flowers. :)

So beautiful Augie! I especially love the purple angelonia. I haven't done any gardening this year but I'll be sure to revisit your pics next year to get inspiration.
Beautiful flowers, Augie!
Our area is full of deer, but they almost never munch on my hosta. Strange.
I think the little blue flowers may be Lobelia. I did not deadhead my potted lantana enogh so they are not too bloomy. Yours are gorgeous. I love their vibrant bi-colors!
Beautiful Augie. The flowers are nice too. *grin*
My rock garden is suffering a bit from a lack of attention lately. I've been too busy picking beans to do much with them. The crows have been eating my cucumbers. I only had a few cucs to begin with so I've been sending Holly out to chase them every time I see them in the yard. Half the crows are bigger than her but she still manages to scare them off.
*waits for Augie's fall pictures so that I can copy*
I have Petunias that thrived and some that just died. I almost wonder if some little punk kid came and peed on them.
My Day Lillies were gorgeous this year, and I cannot wait for them to come back next year.
Wait, they do come back, yes? I don't have to replant those, right?
Boo <------- So doesn't know gardening.
Stupid deer. I love deep colored mums. I need to plant more burgundy and rust colored ones.
I love the angelonia...I've seen them, but never knew what they were called. Augie is so smart.
Beautiful pics.
I'm trying to catch up on my gardening after 2 years of neglect.
My favoirte new item is an Autumn Clematis. It's growing wild and putting up roots everywhere.
*waves hands wildly*
Alright, I love your flowers, I really do. But I need to know where YOU are.
Momma, seems like she's been with Coco, Monsty, and Nookie!
It does look that way, Puffy. *sigh* All these beautiful peep meets..so lucky!
