My old neighbor had this ginormous sunflower that looked in my kitchen window ~ that was decorated in sunflowers. So perfect. I should plant some.

I too love sunflowers.
DH did not believe me yesterday when I told him it was the first day of summer.

That is what I used to tell DH all the time. I remember taking the train across Spain one summer and the sunflowers were everywhere. It is one of my happy memories.
I have also gotten drunk in the sunflower fields at the vineyards near me.
