4. Who wants to play hooky from work today and go to the Mall with me?

5. Mrs. Field's or Cinnabon?

1. Did I buy Christmas cards last year at the after Christmas sales?
--Did you? I did.

2. If "yes" to # 1, where did I put them?
--I know right where mine are. In the box full of cards & correspondence stuff. I am always ready for birthdays, weddings, anniversaried and *sigh* sudden deaths.

3. If "no" to # 1, why didn't I buy any? I always do, dagnabbit!
--Your cart was already full of half-price wrapping paper.

4. Who wants to play hooky from work today and go to the Mall with me?
--Me! Me!!!

5. Mrs. Field's or Cinnabon?
--I hate Cinnabon, waaay too sweet. I love Mrs. Field's Coconut & Macademia nut cookies even though I am not fond of coconut. Go figure.

6. Traditional peppermint candy canes or flavored (i.e. starburst or hershey's) candy canes?
--Hate peppermint! I like spearmint or cherry candy canes, even though most years I don't eat any. Hang them on the tree, then stick them in a cupboard and throw them out sometime in March. However, I like the know that I could eat them if I wanted so I always buy the flavors I like even thought they cost more.

7. Turkey or ham for Christmas dinner?
--Neither.

8. Christmas stockings or no stockings?
--Kids have stockings I made when they were small. Tom & I have none.

9. Open presents on Christmas eve or Christmas morning?
--Morning.

10. Do you drive around the town/neighborhood looking at lights?
--Most years.

1. Of course you did. Everyone does. That way you can buy the expensive ones at 75% off and look like a big spender the next year.

2. Probably the same place I do. Exactly where I'll never find them until I've gone out and bought more at full price.

3. You're just traumatized and don't remember.

4. Me, me, me!!!!!!!

5. Cinnabon. I love huge, iced mounds of cinnamonny dough. The most decadent thing I can think of to eat.

6. Traditional, but I never eat them. They hang on the tree and then get tossed when I tear it all down.

7. Both!!!! And lasagna, of course.

8. I like to wear stockings for Christmas. With this really cute garter belt and corset. But I have to say this question surprised me Augie. It sounds more like something Dweeze would ask.

9. Christmas afternoon. I'm at a party with friends on Christmas Eve and I don't get together with my family until Christmas afternoon. So no prezzies for me until I get there.

10. I have been known to do that. There's about a 12-15 mile stretch of road not far from me in which every single house goes all out. It's really lovely (not disgustingly gaudy) and it's one of the few reasons I wish for snow. Because it just looks so beautiful when it's snowing.

By the way, in flipping thru your December and January archives, I did stumble upon a post dated December 18 where you said if you were smart, you'd write yourself a note to buy shipping supplies in early December because everyone always runs out. So.

Here's your note.

Well Momma, that's the problem. If I was smart I'd do that, but apparently I'm not smart. grrrrrr!

I'll be buying cards this weekend.

By Sunday night I will have stumbled across the ones I bought last year, I just know it.

For the record, I did not, I repeat DID NOT say Augie wasn't smart. I was just trying to helpfully remind her of what she'd said.

1. Yes.

2. In the mail. You mailed them a year early as well.

4. Absolutely me.

5. Mrs. Fields.

6. Traditional.

7. Ham biscuits at my house. No traditional dinner for us. It's all buffet style finger foods. How untraditional of me to do.

8. Christmas stockings. This year we have new, personalized ones.

9. Christmas day.

10. There is no official trip, but we do slow down to admire.

1. I'm pretty sure you did.

2. Ack. I hate when I do that. And yes, I have done this before. They must be with your Xmas wrapping stuff or decorations.

3. If you didn't buy any, it's only because when you got to the store they were sold out.

4. I'm always up for playing hooky.

5. Tough choice. I'll go with cookies cause you can have one or two then more later.

6. Traditional, although I never really eat them.

7. At my mom's, we usually have a ham, lasagna and perogies (drool). At DH's family, we have curry.

8. Christmas stockings are a must.

9. Christmas eve and day.

10. Nope. Although it's nice to see them on the way home from work if it's dark.
