According to weather.com, it is currently 88 degrees here (at 10am eastern time), but it feels like 101 degrees (the dreaded heat index). The high today should be 100, with a heat index of 110 degrees. More of the same tomorrow.
*sweats*
Let's be honest...once it is 100, what's a couple more degrees going to do? 100 or 110, it's HOT. HOT HOT HOT
Now we add in the humidity...it's currently at 71%. *mops brow* This means the second you walk outside it's feels like you are in a sauna.
*sniffs pits*
I know it's like this almost everywhere, so here is my idea:
Let's all meet up at the beach and have a par-tay. I'll bring the beach chairs and bouncing drinks. Who wants to come?

Our weather has actually improved from gawdawful hot to merely awful hot. Yesterday was 100+ here. Today will be merely 90s.
Beach party sound good, so long as there are lots of umbrellas for shade. Maybe I'll just set my chair so I am waist-deep in the water at all times. That would work.
I have some one-spoon tuna salad I can bring.
I agree, a beach party sounds great (we are having the same weather you are!)! I'll bring a stack of craptacular gossip & beauty magazines for us to read.
The beach sounds lovely. I don't really need shade, I'll just go in the ocean when I get hot. :) I will bring sangria and some mozarella and tomatoes.
They're repaving my apartment complex parking lot, so we have to park way up the road for the next few days. Sheesh.
It's 90 right now, with a heat index of 100. Thankfully, our a/c system at work kicks ass! I never know how hot it is until I go out for lunch or leave for the day. I'm not looking forward to trying to sleep tonight though. *sweat* *ick*

Our weather has improved, too. From 112 a week ago, it's 85 today.
I'll bring some of those nice chairs with an attached umbrella, that you can place at the shallow end of the water. I'll also bring some ice cold watermelon injected with your favorite alcoholic beverage.

I don't remember getting any sympathy from you when this weather was on my coast.
I feel like crying. I am so miserable. I don't know why the AC is not making me feel cooler.
I am so cranky I am taking it out on the kids.
Yet I still retain my slender ankles.
