iPOD

Just loaded more songs on my iPOD. My newest additions are songs by:

John Mayer
Bruce Springsteen
Dixie Chicks
Brooks & Dunn
Dwight Yoakum
Kelly Clarkson
Carpenters
Michael McDonald
Edwin McClain
Franz Ferdinand
Al Green
Nat King Cole
Black Eyed Peas

I still have about 8 CDs here at home to download, but my cat Big Fat Harry decided it was time to go to sleep on my desk. His 20 pound body makes it pretty impossible to navigate the keyboard, mouse, and CD collection without getting kicked. Did I mention he is very grumpy? So, gotta wait for later to download Karla Bonoff, Deana Carter, Little Feat, and some soundtracks. Also have a few CDs at work to download -- Gretchen Wilson, Kenny Chesney, Alicia Keys, Lonestar, Sara Evans. This might bring me up to 800 songs, which is 200 below the 1,000 song capacity. I figure once I get my Christmas CDs downloaded I could be near the max.

At that point I either start deleting the less than loved songs, or get another iPOD. Hmmmm, the blue one is pretty. It would look cute next to my pink one. Or I could get a green one for the Christmas songs. How nutty would that be? Very. But the prices are sure to go down, so what the heck?

So, any CDs out there that are must haves? I think I'm going to get the new Brad Paisley and probably the one by the duo Hannah McKuen. But other than that I am up for anything. Except for Rap. I hate Rap.

Hmmm...you have Gretchen Wilson? What about Sugarland?

Oh - and where do you listen to your iPod? I'm thinking having one would be cool, but no clue where or when I'd actually use it.

No Britney Spears? I'm shocked.

Momma - Sugarland has been in my iPOD for awhile. I listen to it in my car (I have one of those cassette thingys that lets you hear the iPOD through the car radio), and while I'm doing yard work. I love my iPOD.

Carey - No skanks allowed on my iPOD, TYVM. I would have Miranda Lambert, but *someone* hasn't send me the CD yet. *glare*

Do you want any others?
Brooks & Dunn
Josh Gracin
Soundtrack from 13 going on 30
Cowboy Troy
I can't remember who else is new to my collection.

I don't have Green Day, Boo. Is it a must have?

I love Al Green. His voice is awesome. "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" is one of my all time favorites.

Last week during a late night feeding, I stumbled upon a Bruce Springsteen video and I forgot what a HOT butt he has.

Meanwhile, I find your list to be quite "typical" if you will.

Hmmm. What are you doing in my head? My cat likes to do the same thing. I don't know why he likes my laptop so much, but he does.

My cutie pink IPod has about 800 songs on it right now too. (Don't you love your IPod? I don't know how I lived with out mine.) I agree with samboohoo that the new Green Day is really good. I've been listening to Coldplay all the time lately, so I say that Coldplay is what you need.

Thanks Iggy. I'll have to check out Coldplay, and it looks like I will be getting Green Day.

Monsty -- what is up with you? First you insult my handwriting, now my musical interests. This from the woman who bascially listens to the Beatles, and no one else. Hrmph.

Since I am not getting any postive attention from you I have decided to at least seek out some negative attention. (It is a classic immature pattern, really.)

Augie,
I have the Green Day, American Idiot CD if you want me to copy it too.

This is me ignoring Monsty with you. She told me that she was dumping me anyhow,so...

Bravie - I would love the Green Day CD. *smooch*

Yeah, Monsty said she was dumping us. I believe the phrase she used was "legal separation". Hrmph.

This is why you just skip the iPod mini all together and go for the 20gb. I've got 1100 songs on mine and still have 15gb of free space left. (And the operating system takes up 2gb - even when the iPod is empty, I only have 18gb of space.)

Of course, I'm all about your holiday color scheme - green for Christmas, you could use pink for all your love songs and the blue for all your summer songs!

Hi, Augie! *smooch*

Your list is interesting. I'm in such a music rut right now it's not funny (Can you say "Wiggles"? Ech.). However, between my current broke-ness and my lack of technological advances, it's probably going to be old U2 cds for me for the next five years.

And I like Iggy's laptop too. I want one of those for Christmas.

I have Bona Roba. *grin* Want a copy of that? And? Carey is supposed to be sending me a copy of a CD or two also. *waits patiently*

Hold your panties, Glowie. I will be making yours and Augie's this week. I had to buy more blank CDs and I'm working on a little project at home. Perhaps you've heard me mention it. *evil eye*

Before my first postnatal experience with Mr. Monsty, I listened to Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar on Me" while I primped.

(Can't say that to the Stephord Wives or the Catholic wives, can I?)

Would anyone be willing to send me SugarLand? Cowboy Troy? Oh, and Hot Apple Pie too? I might even be willing to trade a couple blank CDs for em!!

Momma, I can do you Hot Apple Pie and Cowboy Troy. I'll be making CDs for Augie and Glow the impatient sisters this week so I can make a couple of extras too.

They are gospel singers, Monsty. I could copy them for you so that you could play them at the Christening, if you would like.

FTR: If I ever do the IPOD thing, play the lottery, the biggest one you can find. It's too techo for me.

I like Green Day, and I like that Holiday song. I like to bop my head up and down and sing what I think are the words. Then I like to look back at Master Boo and watch him bop his head too.

I don't know that the whole cd is a must have, but if there is one song on a cd that I love, then it's a must have. Sorry I know I'm rambling a little.

And as far as "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" I don't know Al's version, but I like the Bee Gees version. *grins*

Ok, I got the get go from Michelle. She said that since I can not get internet access up at the lake that I could bring my computer so that I can copy CDs.
Since I am up at 5am and she doesn't get up until 10am-11am. So while I sit out on the deck and drink coffee in the morning hours, I will have something to do.

I realize that this is Augie's blog but I need everyone to let me know exactly what CDs I am copying for whom. I got all confused
