More boring pictures. Sorry.

Since no one is complaining, I'm posting more...

Dogwood! They don't seem as colorful as in the past. The four marks of the cross seem pretty faded, not quite as bright in years past. Not sure why. Maybe I need to fertilize more?

These tulips are pretty in pink, don't you think? I thought they looked interesting from a bird's eye view.

Buster the Girl Cat hiding in between daffodils and astible. She is scared of the camera so I have to be rather stealth and take her picture real fast.

Big Fat Harry pretending to be looking at the just emerging lirope, but he's really pissed at the world and is taking this chance to lay in the mulch so he can track it all over the house later.

Some of the last tulips. See the blue grape muscari along the border behind them? Love those little guys--so pretty.

Fair warning people...I'm going to hit the garden center this weekend. It's time to load up on the annuals.

I love the names of your cats.

Your lawn is so nice too! Our lawn is crap. We have tons of moles and rabbits that leave raised trails over the lawn. Of course the dogs sense them and dig up the lawn as well. They are not diggers either only hunting the varmints.

We can't get rid of the moles/voles.

We've got varmits too, zombie. Dagblasted moles! They et up my tulip bulbs. Hate them pesky moles.

The lawn will be green until the middle of July, then it will be burned up. We have well water so we do not water the lawn, ever. If it's a dry summer the lawn is pretty nasty by August.

I can't believe these are pics from your yard! They're all just gorgeous, and I have to agree, Big Fat Harry *does* look pissed!

I love the pictures. I'm a gardening fanatic so I love seeing pictures here (keeps lazy me from needing to walk to neighborhood to see others ideas - snort).

Buster does what my cats do. I think they pretend they are in the jungle waiting for their next meal to come along.

I planted a dogwood at my house two years ago. I need to go there and see if it is blooming. I love dogwoods.

MM -- Big Fat Harry is *always* pissed. He is the grumpiest cat in the universe. :-)

Nutzy -- I think the girl cats Buster and Bob would be bestest friends. Buster is so sweet. I love her so much.

Lasann -- We only had one dogwood for years, but we just planted a pink one two weeks ago. Can't wait to see how it does next spring.

Your yard is waaaay ahead of mine; my astilbe haven't peeped yet. And liriope is not hardy here.

Your grass looks lovely! I don't do lawns. I mow the green stuff out there, which includes a lot of grass - but I refuse to lay down the chemicals my lawn would need for that weed-free turf-grass look.

Why can't you water with well water? I do that all the time.

We've had freeze and frost advisories the last two nights, I will be waiting until I'm back from Spokane before buying and planting annuals.

Augie. Your hose is broken. Better hold it up and open your eye REAL WIDE and see if something is blocking it up.

*stands around corner, bending hose, waiting...*

LMAO at Monsty, DH and I have done that to each other before. *giggle* But only on a real hot day.

Swami -- we go through periods of drought in the summer and our well has actually run dry a few times, so we do not use the water for the lawn. I do water my flowers but I try to plant mostly drought tolerant species. The water situation gets so bad sometimes we take our laundry to the local laundramat.

Buggy! I've missed you! *smooch*

Breezy -- We had frost warnings last night, but no frost this morning! yay!

Monsty -- *evil eye*

That isn't very nice of Monsty. And it seems sorta low class for a woman of her stature. *giggle*

I'm impressed that you know so much about the flowers, like names and stuff. Kitties are cuties.

Kitties & flowers, two of my favorite things!

I took some pictures of flowers this weekend, but they are all on the camera at home. Not much is in bloom here right now. Still a little chilly.

I planted lettuce & carrots this weekend. Got them in before the rain started Saturday. It's supposed to keep raining all week. I have to say, gardening at 7:30 a.m. was rather refreshing. I bet I'll have many weeds to pull next weekend. I need new mulch.

Ooh, RE: MOLES

We are going to pick up a new product at the co-op this week. I forget what it's called...they were out last time. I'll let you know how it works. We are also moving our compost bin. Compost=worms & grubs=food for moles.

Two more gardening-related tidbits, because I am so excited to be blogging and not, say, cleaning.

1. My daffs came out yesterday. Yesterday. However, I also noticed the spinach I had planted last week has already germinated, so we'll catch up to you guys yet.

2. I caught Dominic doing some 'scientific' experiments with worms: he was stretching them out as far as they would go, poor things.

*smooooooooooooooooch* to Augie.
